Get Ready for Heavy Rain at the Box Office!

There’s been rumors for a while about a movie adaptation of this year’s noir video game splash Heavy Rain, according to Deadline.com it’s close to being a reality:

An auction of screen rights for the PlayStation3 game Heavy Rain is coming to a close. I’m told a deal is near with Unique Features, the film shingle started by Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne after they exited New Line.

Using their own money, Shaye and Lynne posted top bid in an auction held by CAA on behalf of game developers Quantic Dream.

Unique has a first look deal with Warner Bros, but Shaye liked it enough to use his own money and not wait for approval to buy it. A deal should be sealed shortly.

We’re all for it, we loved the game and visually and tonally it’s very much an homage to serial killer films, especially Se7en.

Get Ready for Heavy Rain at the Box Office!

Jensen Ackles Stops the Apocalypse, and Gets Married 2 Days Later!!

Congrats to Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris who got married on Saturday!

Supernatural star Jensen Ackles and longtime girlfriend, One Tree Hill actress Danneel Harris, got married Saturday in Dallas.

We’re pulling for this one, Jensen’s awesome as Dean Winchester in Supernatural (he was also on Smallville for a season!) and though we don’t watch One Tree Hill, Danneel was awesome in Harold and Kumar 2, therefore these two rock!

BTW, Jensen is one hell of a method actor, Sam (Jared Padalecki) told him in last Thursday’s Supernatural finale to go get married and have a normal life! What dedication! This is like the time Christian Bale lost like 60 lbs. for The Machinist!
